About the role
Join a dedicated nursing team providing direct care in a medical-surgical setting, focusing on enhancing patient quality of life and safety.
Responsibilities
- Apply standards of nursing practice to evaluate and improve patient care
- Build effective relationships and advocate for patients and families
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using the nursing process
- Consider diverse human responses to health issues across physical, cultural, social, and spiritual dimensions
- Lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patients to assess needs, set goals, and deliver holistic care
- Communicate effectively for collaborative decision-making, respecting cultural and ethical considerations
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and restoration measures
- Mentor colleagues and foster a positive work environment
- Apply evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs
- Perform point of care testing and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid RN license and current Basic Life Support certification
- Physical ability to perform typical nursing tasks
- Licensing requirements vary by state, with options for compact licenses
