About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. This role involves utilizing the nursing process, coordinating care with other health team members, and providing a supportive, team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Assesses physical, social, and psychological status of patients, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans, including patient and family education.
- Coordinates interdisciplinary care teams, delegates tasks as necessary, and ensures patient care is delivered according to plan of care.
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions and revises care plans as needed.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of care plans and progress.
- Ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards, maintains accurate documentation, and promotes professional conduct.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Valid compact license must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to drive between designated facilities.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $35.22 - $53.29. Actual hourly rate depends on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday. Days schedule and assignments will be based on department needs. No weekends or holidays required.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication, hearing, and understanding spoken information quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies.
- Manual dexterity for manipulating complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including computer use and typing for documentation.
- Need to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, typically including items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Standing in a stationary position for extended periods, navigating crowded and busy rooms, and pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
- Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
