About the Role

The Registered Nurse collaborates with healthcare teams to assess, develop treatment plans, and provide education for patients with pressure injuries, abdominal stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, and incontinence. They serve as a clinical resource, offering expert guidance on ostomy, wound, and skin care management.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients pre- and post-ostomy surgery, educate patients and families, and develop discharge plans.
  • Manage complex wounds, fistulas, and skin conditions with consultation and direct care.
  • Support healthcare staff through education, training, and updates on best practices and products.
  • Ensure quality standards by maintaining certifications, monitoring outcomes, evaluating products, and establishing care protocols.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in nursing.
  • Specialized wound and ostomy care certification.
  • Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, including at least six months to one year in specialty care.
  • Current RN licensure and board certification or eligibility within one year.
