About the Role

ChristianaCare Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Riverside, DE is seeking a full-time Wound Care Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves case-managing patients, planning and implementing care plans, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers across two wound care centers in Wilmington, DE, and Elkton, MD.

The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or holidays required at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care for patients in an ambulatory setting through comprehensive assessments, diagnostic data evaluation, and wound evaluations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of common wound etiologies and wound care standards.
  • Performs ordered treatments, including vital signs, blood sugars, vascular assessments, ABIs, wound assessments, phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection.
  • Prepares and implements a plan of care for wound patients in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members.
  • Utilizes interview, examination, and observation techniques to obtain patient and wound history.
  • Assesses patient and family learning needs and develops a plan to address them.
  • Provides care appropriate for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, understanding growth and development needs.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a current state license in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Two years of experience in acute care nursing.
  • Experience in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Must complete a minimum one-month training at ChristianaCare Wound Care Center at Riverside.
  • Willingness to support cross-coverage between wound centers for emergent needs.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $41.28 - $66.05. The actual salary offered will depend on individual factors such as skills, relevant experience, and qualifications.
