Registered Nurse (RN) | Wound Care Center

About the role

The ChristianaCare Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center Cecil County is seeking a full-time Wound Care RN to join their team. They aim to provide the highest level of wound care outcomes, utilize advanced wound care products, and employ a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care for patients in an ambulatory setting through comprehensive assessments and wound evaluations.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of common wound etiologies and wound standard of care.
• Performs ordered treatments such as vital signs, blood sugars, vascular assessments, wound assessments, phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection and handling.
• Prepares and implements a plan of care for the wound patient, collaborating with the physician and other health team members.
• Demonstrates competent utilization of interview, examination, and observation techniques to obtain and interpret patient and wound history information.
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current state license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s of Nursing required.
• Two years experience in acute care nursing.
• Experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• Must be able to train at ChristianaCare Wound Care Center at Riverside for a minimum of one month.
• Willingness to support cross coverage between the Wound Centers if needed (emergent coverage only).

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of wound care products and techniques.

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, no weekends or holidays required at this time.
