Responsibilities

• The Wound Care RN is responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care.
• The RN is responsible for following all WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse, or Physician.
• The RN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data conferences, and continuing education is required as determined by the Program Director.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
