Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at MidState Medical Center is under the direction and general supervision of the Clinical Manager. This role requires the RN to provide nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies, and procedures of the hospital, and as directed by the medical staff. The RN must utilize the nursing process to develop a plan of care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family. The RN should consider the needs and behaviors of the patient's age group in their care plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies, and procedures of the hospital.
- Develop and implement a plan of care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
- Adhere to state regulations and hospital policies regarding nursing practice.
Requirements
- RN with current Connecticut license required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in applicable specialty preferred.
- New graduates may work under supervision per State guidelines.
Qualifications

Schedule
Clinic currently open Monday-Friday. Shifts are 7:30-4pm or 9-5:30pm depending on the day of the week. One set day off midweek based on the needs of the clinic.
