Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Emergency Department

About the Role

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department, responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. The RN practices in accordance with state nursing laws, the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, and organizational policies, emphasizing patient-centered care, cultural competence, and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based standards.
• Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs.
• Partner with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and shared decision-making.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through effective documentation and teamwork.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a competent future workforce.
• Support resource management and development of protocols to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Valid RN license (single or multi-state compact).
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS (required upon hire).
• At least 5 years of RN experience.
