About the Role
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department, responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. The RN practices in accordance with state nursing laws, the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, and organizational policies, emphasizing patient-centered care, cultural competence, and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based standards.
- Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs.
- Partner with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and shared decision-making.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through effective documentation and teamwork.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a competent future workforce.
- Support resource management and development of protocols to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Valid RN license (single or multi-state compact).
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS (required upon hire).
- At least 5 years of RN experience.
Skills
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations.
- Proficiency with clinical technology and documentation systems.
