PASSPORT HEALTH Registered Nurse - Travel Medicine This isn't a traditional nursing role and that's exactly the point. Passport Health is North America's largest travel medicine and immunization provider, with 300+ clinics across the U.S. and Canada. We're looking for experienced RNs who are ready to step out of a high-pressure hospital or traditional clinic setting and into a role built around autonomy, specialized expertise, and genuine one-on-one patient connection. What Makes This Role Different: Most of our nurses work independently - no charge nurse, no team overhead, no endless task lists. You manage your day by seeing your clients, and providing them with the best experience possible. You will be supported by a network of clinical leadership, but the day-to-day is yours. Travel medicine is a specialty. You'll develop deep expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases, international health risks, and pre-travel health planning - knowledge most nurses never get to build. Every client interaction is a true consultation, not a check-the-box encounter. Current Opening Details Location(s): Back Bay (Boston), CAEmployment Type: Full-Time (FT)Compensation: Starting at $50.00/hrWeekly Hours & Schedule: Monday - Friday with bi-weekly Saturdays What You'll Do Conduct in-depth travel health consultations and educate clients on destination-specific risksAdminister vaccines per standing orders and monitor for adverse reactionsRecommend and promote travel health products and medications as clinically appropriateManage clinic setup, inventory, and compliance with safety and documentation protocolsSupport onsite corporate wellness or vaccine clinic events as neededComplete ongoing travel medicine training - we invest in keeping your clinical knowledge current Immigration Medical Services - Required Following States: AZ, CO, FL, IL, MA, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NM, OH, OK, TX Various Passport Health locations support immigration-related medical services, including civil surgeon exams and required vaccinations for USCIS applicants. At these clinics, performing immigration physicals and maintaining strict USCIS documentation compliance is a required part of the role. Training is provided, but attention to detail and comfort with regulated documentation workflows is essential. Scheduling - The Honest Picture Passport Health uses a census-based scheduling model, similar to what you may have seen in hospital or outpatient settings. We want you going in with realistic expectations. The nurses who thrive here are those who value the trade-off: less rigidity, more autonomy, and the ability to build a schedule that works for their life and for the business needs, even if that means some week-to-week variability. Here's what that means in practice: Hours are based on client demand, which varies by location and seasonWe create a schedule that offers 6–12 months of consistency, helping provide stability, while recognizing that hours are not guaranteed in some marketsTo support schedule planning and consistency, we require availability within set scheduling windows, which allows us to provide a clear, forward-looking view of your work scheduleWe do our best to honor availability, and flexibility (preferred day/time coverage, weekends, or willingness to cover multiple locations) can increase your scheduled hoursPeak travel seasons (typically February–August) generally bring higher and more stable volume What You Need to Succeed Active RN license in good standingCompact (multistate) RN licensure accepted - you must legally reside in the state where you are licensed and providing care3+ years of clinical nursing experience (travel medicine background a plus, not required)Comfortable working independently - you won't always have backup in the clinicStrong patient communication and education skillsReliable access to a personal computer (training systems require desktop or laptop)Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet)Current First Aid/CPR certificationAbility to lift and transport vaccine inventory as needed (up to 25 lbs) Ideal For Nurses Who Are adaptable - comfortable shifting gears between high-volume and consultative modesWant the range of both clinic types without switching locationsAre reliable for weekend coverage and flexible with scheduling Ready to Apply? If you're an experienced RN who's ready for something different - a role where your clinical judgment is trusted and your patient relationships matter - we'd love to hear from you.
