Registered Nurse (RN), Telemetry Float Pool

Job Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for their Telemetry Float Pool Department at the New Brunswick campus. RWJ University Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center, is part of the RWJBarnabas Health system and is renowned for its clinical quality and nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Required: Strong communication and organizational skills
• Required: Proficient computer skills
• Preferred: BSN or completed within 5 years upon hire
• Required: At least 2 years of Medical Surgical experience
• Required: BLS and ACLS certification
• Required: Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements

Night Shift, 36 hours per week, 7p-7:30a Monday – Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation PT

Essential Functions

• Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
• Maintains a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors
• Knowledge of the patient population served
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
• Individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs
