About the role
The Surgical Intermediate Step-Down Unit, 4D, is a 35-bed facility that provides care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring nursing interventions every two to four hours.
Responsibilities
- Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring nursing interventions every two to four hours.
- Part of a team providing comprehensive patient care in an acute care setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
- One year of nursing experience required; two years in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Licensed or license eligibility in the state of Delaware.
- BLS Certification required; ACLS required within one year of hire.
Qualifications
- Experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Delaware.
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
Schedule
This is a full-time position of 72 hours per pay period/36 hours per week. The hours for this position are Overnights of 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. This requires a weekend rotation and follows internal weekend requirement practice. Holidays required per organization policy.
