About the role
Provides direct patient care in the outpatient surgical setting using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and families; provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in state of practice; Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Schedule
Days | Monday-Friday | No Weekends, No Holidays
Bonus
$15,000. Two-year commitment.
