About the Role
The licensed registered nurse is a professional nurse responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to established ethical, cultural, and professional nursing standards. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes and delegating tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members. Demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all patient, family, visitor, and employee interactions is essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based clinical care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes
- Delegate tasks appropriately to other healthcare team members
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions
- Adhere to established ethical, cultural, and professional nursing standards
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensed to practice in the state where work is performed
- Compact (multi-state) License required if eligible, in primary state of residence
- Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses
- Education focus promotes ability to practice in assigned clinical area
Qualifications
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies
- Competent in mathematical calculations for medication administration
- Independently performs safe nursing skills and procedures
- Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area
- Able to critically think and problem-solve in routine and emergency situations
- Prior RN experience in an OR setting preferred
Schedule
1st shift; Full-time, 40 hours weekly.
