Registered Nurse (RN), Surgery
About the role
Join a Surgery team that values collaboration, clear communication, and a patient-first approach to care. As an OR RN, you'll leverage your clinical expertise to safely guide patients through every stage of the surgical experience. This dynamic role includes responsibilities in the Operating Room, Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Interventional Radiology, offering variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the patient journey.
Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Requirements
- A current Michigan RN license.
- An associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year.
Qualifications
- Experience in the Operating Room, Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Interventional Radiology is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay
$75,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
8-hour Day Shifts M-F (varied start times) plus on-call rotations.
