Responsibilities
- Supervising the assigned unit and ensuring care standards
- Establishing and enforcing employee policies and procedures
- Mentoring less experienced nurses and providing clinical guidance
- Reviewing resident records and quality of care
- Monitoring overall care and individual resident cases
- Addressing resident or family questions and complaints
- Representing the unit with upper management
Qualifications
- Valid NYS RN license
- PREFERRED: 2 years of Long Term Care experience
- PREFERRED: 1 year of Charge Nurse experience
- POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND LEADERSHIP QUALITIES
- STRONG COMPUTER AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
