About the Role

The RN Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care and services, promoting quality care through a collaborative process that coordinates, monitors, and evaluates services according to patient needs. Works with patients and families in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Currently licensed/registered in applicable State; must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
  • Two (2) years’ nursing experience; geriatric nursing experience preferred
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; certification must remain current during employment
  • Expert knowledge in field of practice
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Responsibilities

  • Provide, manage, and coordinate patient care and services to ensure patients attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Assist patients daily to evaluate quality of care rendered
  • Direct licensed staff and CNAs in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting requirements
  • Assess patients’ needs and develop plans of care
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate, use reasoning skills, and exercise good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Perform proficiently in competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct; complete mandatory training
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
