About the role

The Medical/Surgical IU 5 East is a 20-bed stroke unit that has been DNV/Joint Commission Stroke certified for 16 years. Teammates work closely with care navigators, hospitalists, and neurohospitalists to ensure quality outcomes and support patients' recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process
  • Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making skills
  • Communicate effectively and lead efforts to create a safe patient environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay

$38.20 - $57.30 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

3–12-hour shifts per week, rotating days (7:00am-7:00pm) and weekends/holidays

What You’ll Do

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and effective communication to lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.
