Inpatient unit with 34 beds specializing in a neuro-focused patient population, including Stroke, Seizures, Diabetes, Electrolyte Imbalance, Kidney Disease, Mental Health, Dementia, and Alzheimer's. The culture is collaborative, supportive, and focused on teaching, with an equal mix of new graduates and experienced team staff.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational skills and knowledge through Nurse Residency and Preceptor-directed orientation.
- Develop skills in time management, triaging accountabilities, communication, pharmacology, lab interpretation, and pathophysiology of disease processes through care of med/surg patients with acute and chronic conditions.
- Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Develop collaborative relationships with a resourceful multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide continuity of patient care through 12-hour shifts, patient-centered care, and team-minded support.
- Be a valued member of a highly skilled, resilient, and versatile nursing team committed to delivering quality and compassionate healthcare to diverse patient populations.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
New and experienced RNs are welcome.
Schedule
- Self-scheduling with 6-week schedules.
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
- Every third weekend and 50% holiday rotation.
Pay
- Night shift differential: $5.00 per hour.
- Weekend differential: $4.00 per hour.
