Responsibilities
- caring for patients from diagnosis to treatment of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatment
- symptom management, palliative (supportive) care
- clinical trials
- care of some stem cell patients
- specializes in the care of oncology patients
- affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Center
- work closely with them to ensure patients get the best cancer care possible
- many patients have extended stays
- form a therapeutic relationship/bond with patients and their family members

Requirements
- Oncology or Stem Cell experienced RN with BSN
- full-time Day and night shift position
- 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential
Qualifications
- current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
- BLS certification is required
- minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
Skills
- knowledge of stem cell transplant and cellular therapy processes/procedures
- recognition of common transplant and cellular therapy complications
- administration of Cellular Therapy products
- care interventions to manage cellular therapy complications
