Registered Nurse (RN) - Spine & Pain, PRN

Join Mercy’s Spine & Pain Management team and play a vital role in delivering specialized, patient-centered care. This PRN RN opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment where you’ll support advanced pain management treatments and make a meaningful impact on patients’ quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess patients, including pain evaluations, vitals, and medical history
• Assist providers with spine and pain management procedures and treatments
• Administer medications and injections; support IV therapy as needed
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition
• Coordinate care, including follow-ups, referrals, and patient education
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
• Support a safe, efficient clinic environment and assist with lab/testing as needed

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current valid state RN license
• CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
• Knowledge of nursing principles, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
• Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, and principles to develop a self-care program
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and policies
• Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills to access information and enter clinical data
• Skill in operating equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic
