About the role
The Registered Nurse at Omni Continuing Care is responsible for planning, coordinating, providing, and managing nursing care, services, and health education for nursing home guests. They also supervise care provided by LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other team members, provide safe and accurate medication interventions, assess guest health, develop care plans, and contribute to guest assessments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader using critical thinking and strong communication skills.
- Supervise LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other team members to ensure quality care.
- Administer medications accurately and report any changes in guest status promptly.
- Conduct thorough health assessments and collaborate with physicians to develop care plans.
- Implement nursing interventions to stabilize guests' conditions and prevent complications.
- Participate in guest assessments (MDS/CAA's) and assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
- CPR certification required.
