Registered Nurse (RN) - Senior Adult Unit - 24 hours/week, evening shift
About the role
The Senior Adult Unit (SAU) provides acute inpatient psych/med care for older adults. Average length of stay is 10 days. This is a voluntary, restraint free unit which is licensed by DPH. It is not considered a mental health unit licensed by DMH.
Responsibilities
- Medical and psychiatric evaluation
- Pharmacologic assessment
- Patient and family education
- Physical rehabilitation
- Group and individual therapy
- Nutritional assessment
- Social support and case management
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- BLS certification required
Pay
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is $37.00 - $84.71 per hour. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Schedule
Scheduled Hours: Per diem, hours assigned as needed.

The SAU team is trained in the specialized care of the elderly.
