Registered Nurse RN - SANE Program Coordinator - Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim.
• Conduct a forensic exam.
• Administer prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
• Document the forensic exam through photographs.
• Make appropriate referrals for medical and psychological follow-up.
• Participate in legal proceedings related to the case.
• Follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or management of the SANE program.
• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Unrestricted State DL.
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA upon hire and maintain current.
• Completed approved Illinois SANE training (40 hours of Didactic coursework).
• Complete initial Pediatric SANE training within 6 months of hire.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $36.41 to $55.19 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
