Registered Nurse RN - SANE Program Coordinator - Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to sexual assault victims.
• Conduct forensic exams, including prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
• Perform photographic documentation and provide referrals for medical and psychological follow-up.
• Offer support and participate in legal proceedings.
• Follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or management of the SANE program.
• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completed approved Illinois SANE training (40 hours of didactic coursework).
• Complete the initial Pediatric SANE training within 6 months of hire.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.41 to $55.19 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
