Registered Nurse/RN - Rehabilitation Health (Northport, AL) - $12,000 Sign-On Bonus

About the role

Join the dynamic multi-disciplinary team at the Rehabilitation Pavilion at Northport Medical Center. Patients admitted here continue to receive hospital care and close medical supervision while participating in the rehab program. They receive 24-hour medical monitoring and care from a physiatrist, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and rehab nurses who round daily.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, compassionate care according to professional nursing standards
• Supervise and encourage team members, and support their contributions
• Assign and delegate nursing care to team members based on patient needs and team capabilities
• Document observations, care provided, and changes in care plans accurately
• Evaluate and regularly reevaluate patient care; coordinate care planning with patients, families, providers, and other disciplines
• Plan and provide patient and/or significant other education based on physical, behavioral, psychological, developmental, and age-related factors
• Participate in performance improvement activities by serving on PI teams, assisting with PI measures, and implementing changes
• Perform initial and annual competency assessments per job class DCH Standards

Requirements

• Current approved Alabama Board of Nursing RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current AHA or AHA Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider training or obtain within 30 days of start
• BSN preferred, minimum Associates required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and other relevant certifications as required
