Registered Nurse (RN)/ Regional Referral Center

About the role

This position combines the responsibilities of the System Access Center Coordinator and the System Patient Logistics Nurse Coordinator. The System Access Center’s RN will oversee and support all roles within the RRC Access Call Center, focusing on clinical assessment and managing complex transfers. The RN will provide leadership and guidance to the Access Center coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support all roles within the RRC Access Call Center
• Provide clinical assessment and identify the needs of complex transfers
• Communicate and dialogue with referring and accepting physicians to understand and plan for the needs of complex transfers
• Manage and guide the Access Center Coordinators
• Oversee the process for all “alerts” across the system, ensuring proper notification to caregivers
• Work proactively with referring facilities to drive referrals to Premier Health Facilities
• Evaluate capacity needs and collaborate with regional access centers and transportation to ensure a seamless transfer process
• Identify capacity needs

Requirements

• Minimum education: Associate degree
• Preferred education: BSN Completion or Professional Certification
• Licensure: Valid State of Ohio RN license
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of job-related experience
• Prior experience: Clinical experience preferred in ED, Critical Care, Advanced Care; Customer Service Experience Preferred

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school in nursing
• Area of study or major: Nursing
• Preferred educational qualifications: BSN

Benefits

• Part-time Night Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am, 48 hours per pay period
