The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act.
- Implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities.
- Organize and administer individualized, age-specific professional nursing care to patients within the Radiology Department.
- Assess each patient’s age-specific needs and determine appropriate treatment modalities based on principles of growth and development.
- Utilize skills to effectively manage clinical quality outcomes for disease-specific populations.
- Maintain required documentation and statistical data for reports.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and adherence of clinical pathways, measures of clinical outcomes, and maintenance of clinical data.
- Support the development and implementation of quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, quality of life, and other outcome measures.
- Monitor trends and changes in clinical, service, and outcomes in various navigation interventions.
- Maintain high standards for professional development; act as a resource, role model, and mentor for professional staff within the Interventional Radiology Department.
- Administer patient care for diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Radiology Department.
- Utilize assessment techniques, teaching, and evaluation to determine the effectiveness of care.
- Document patient responses to procedures when necessary.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities.
Requirements
- Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification.
- BSN or actively enrolled in a BSN program with an expected completion date.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interventional radiology experience.
- Critical care experience.
- Vascular access certification.
Schedule
- Day Shift.
- Scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts per month.
- Must work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday.
- On-call availability required.
Pay
$47.85 - $67.04 per hour.
