Registered Nurse RN - Radiation Oncology - Per Diem Day

About the role

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. They assure awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics, ensure safety in practice, and assume responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team.

Responsibilities

• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
• Responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school preferred.
• Additional experience required based upon specific department needs.
• Current NJ RN licensure required.
• National certification preferred.
• BLS required.

Benefits

Compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Pay

$48.29 - $65.06 per hour
