Registered Nurse (RN) Radiology Part-Time Day

Part-time day position at Jersey City Medical Center’s Radiology Department. Hourly pay range: $47.85 – $67.04 based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act.
• Implement hospital mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities.
• Organize and administer individualized, age-specific professional nursing care to patients in the Radiology Department.
• Utilize assessment, teaching, and evaluation to determine effectiveness of care for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain required documentation and statistical data; generate reports as needed.
• Assist with development, implementation, and adherence of clinical pathways; measure clinical outcomes and maintain clinical data.
• Participate in quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction and other outcome measures.
• Monitor trends and changes in clinical, service, and outcomes in navigation interventions.
• Act as a resource, role model, and mentor for professional staff within the Interventional Radiology Department.
• Administer patient care for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
• Document patient response to procedures when deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a nationally accredited school.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a nationally accredited school.
• Interventional radiology experience.
• Critical care experience.

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license with New Jersey endorsement.
• ACLS certification.
• Vascular access certification.

Schedule

• Day shift, 20 hours per week, part-time.
• Monday – Friday schedule with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.
• On-call responsibilities required.
