Registered Nurse (RN) Radiology Part Time Day

About the Role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Radiology department at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area, and newly expanded Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using judgment to intervene early and advocate for patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families to ensure they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing to interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
• Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes
• Pursuing continued professional growth through access to continuing education, clinical ladder opportunities, and organizational resources

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (strongly preferred)
• Prior patient care experience
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC
• Minimum of 2-3 years of working in Interventional Radiology experience

Schedule

Part-time, Monday – Friday, 24 hours per week, with on-call requirements.

Pay

$47.62 - $63.73 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on educational background, skills, and professional experience.
