Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric
About the role
Provides direct psychiatric nursing care in a hospital setting, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Develops and documents individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patients. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities, and engages in professional development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care across inpatient units, including acute, medical-psychiatric, and geriatric settings, within a safe, patient-centered environment.
- Emphasize safety, communication, and teamwork to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree, RN license, no prior experience required.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience.
