About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health is responsible for using the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching, and accessing community resources.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care
- Participates in interdisciplinary planning
- Coordinates and provides patient care
- Performs discharge planning
- Taughts patients and families about post-hospitalization care
- Accesses and coordinates community resources
- May serve as Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required)
Requirements
- Holds a current RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- AHA-approved ACLS certification within 90 days of employment for Charge Nurses
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
