About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. This includes interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
- Participates in interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
- May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
Requirements
- Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
