Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Days | Sussex Rehab

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Responsibilities also include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary planning.
  • Coordinates discharge planning.
  • Taught patient and family about post-hospitalization care.
  • Accesses community resources as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties (ACLS certification required).

Requirements

  • Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
  • AHA approved ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Charge Nurses must have current ACLS certification.

Experience

  • One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
