Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
- Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
Requirements
- Hold a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Evidence of ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.
- One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
