About the Role

RWJBarnabas Health Somerset is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Post Intensive Care Unit.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $45.55 - $61.17 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • ASN or Nursing Diploma
  • 1-2 years of Mother Baby/Postpartum and/or level II or level III NICU experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

  • BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
  • Level II intermediate Nursery/NICU experience
  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire
  • STABLE Certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
  • Understand and address the needs of the patient population served.
  • Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with other patient care providers.
  • Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
  • Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of patient care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.
