About the Role
RWJBarnabas Health Somerset is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Post Intensive Care Unit.
Pay
The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $45.55 - $61.17 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- 1-2 years of Mother Baby/Postpartum and/or level II or level III NICU experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
- BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
- Level II intermediate Nursery/NICU experience
- NRP certification within 6 months of hire
- STABLE Certification within 6 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Understand and address the needs of the patient population served.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with other patient care providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of patient care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.
