About the role
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Coronary Care Unit at the New Brunswick campus.
Pay
$47.85 - $71.72 per hour
The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
Schedule
- Night Shift, 7p-7:30a
- 2 shifts per month, plus one summer and one winter holiday
- Per Diem
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Maintain awareness of own individual level of knowledge and experience; assume responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others on the patient care team through communication and utilization of available resources.
- Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Understand the patient population served.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with other patient care providers.
- Consistently set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient’s needs.
Requirements
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- RN experience in Critical Care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Qualifications
- Preferred: BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
- Preferred: CCRN certification
