About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics position at Community Medical Center, 1.0 FTE (0.6 FTE Sedation, 0.4 FTE Pediatric Floor), 12‑hour shifts starting at 07:00 on the Pediatrics unit. Community Medical Center is a 151‑bed hospital in Missoula, MT, and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network operating across 29 states with 63 community hospital campuses, 32 rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals, and over 170 additional sites of care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission through discharge or transfer.
• Provide expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting.
• Act as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
• Demonstrate knowledge of clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.
• Manage patient loads within assigned timelines.
• Contribute as a patient‑care innovator, utilizing specialized plan‑of‑care interventions and leveraging cutting‑edge technology to impact patient wellbeing.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire.
• PALS certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of Pediatric Sedation and PICU experience.

Qualifications

• BSN (preferred).
• Pediatric certification (preferred).
