Position Overview
The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who assists patients in achieving, maintaining, and restoring health.
Education
- Graduate from NLN School of Nursing
Licenses and Certifications
- Current unrestricted Mississippi State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer
- Specialty area certifications as required (Cath Lab - ACLS, Cardiac Rehab - ACLS, etc.)
- TNCC certification for Emergency Department within 12 months of hire
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certification for Labor & Delivery and Nursery within 18 months of hire
- De-escalation training completed by 90 days of position orientation
Experience
- A minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred
- Experience must be within the past five (5) years, or evidence of successful refresher program

Patient Care Manager
Supervises
- LPNs
- Patient Care Assistants
- Unit Technicians
Physical Demands
- Moderately active work involving sitting, moving about the office, facility, and traveling within SRHS service area
- Exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or operate standard office equipment
- Substantial movements of wrists, hands, and fingers while operating standard office equipment
- Close visual and acuity needed to perform daily work activities
- Ability to work extended periods without undue fatigue
- Ability to work various schedules as assigned

- Superior communication skills (speaking, enunciation, writing)
- Emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Superior customer service skills
- Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (keyboard proficiency), other office technology, MS Outlook, and Word
- Appropriate clinical judgment and professional skills to a patient population of all ages
