About the role
This is a part-time position performing surgeries in various specialties including Ortho, Spine, Gynecological, ENT, Plastics, Digestive, Bariatric, and General Surgery. The surgery schedule runs Monday through Friday with minimal OR staff call.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate surgical patients.
- Assess for and anticipate the needs of surgeons.
- Manage operating room suites according to AORN guidelines for patient safety.
- Properly conduct documentation and provide high-quality patient care.
- Serve as a supportive member of the surgical services team with strong OR knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Idaho.
- Active BLS certification, required to achieve ACLS certification within six months of employment.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and meeting documentation standards.
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
- Previous PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing experience preferred.
- Awareness of professional nursing standards and performance in accordance with them.
Qualifications
- Current licensure in the State of Idaho.
