REGISTERED NURSE (RN)(PART-TIME) - OPERATING ROOM
About the role
This is a part-time position performing surgeries in various specialties including Ortho, Spine, Gynecological, ENT, Plastics, Digestive, Bariatric, and General Surgery. The surgery schedule is Monday through Friday with minimal call for OR staff.
Responsibilities
- Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all surgical patients
- Assess for and anticipate the needs of surgeons
- Manage operating room suites in accordance with AORN guidelines for patient safety
- Properly conduct documentation and provide quality patient care
- Serve as a supportive member of the surgical services team with strong OR knowledge and skills
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Idaho
- Active BLS and ACLS certification within six months of employment
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and meeting documentation standards
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
- Previous PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing experience preferred
- Awareness of professional nursing standards and performance in accordance with them
Qualifications
- Current licensure in the State of Idaho
