Registered Nurse - RN Part Time

About the role

MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking part-time Registered Nurses (RNs) for a premier mental health treatment center in New Castle, Delaware. This position offers growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
• Accurately administer medications and document controlled substance medication administration.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved in patient treatment.
• Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients and maintain professional boundaries.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use settings.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Skills

• Knowledge of universal precautions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in administering medications and documenting care.

Pay

RN base pay: $39.53-$43.66/hr, based on experience.

Schedule

• Available shifts: Days 7-3, Evenings 3-11, Nights 11-7.
• 8-hour shifts available.
