Registered Nurse (RN) PACU ICAR

About the role

This role is a full-time position working 3x12 hour shifts: 6a-6p, 7a-7p, and 9a-9p with minimal holiday and on-call requirements. The role works with both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care for outpatient and inpatient populations.
• Assist with Electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker/ICD placement, leadless pacemaker, ablations for VT, SVT, A-Fib, and A-Flutter.
• Support Cardiac catheterization procedures such as left and right heart catheters, heart biopsies, ASD/PFO closures, carotid stents, and structural heart procedures.
• Participate in Interventional Radiology procedures including angiograms, chemoembolization, IVS filters, Mediports, thrombolysis, venograms, G/J tube placements, nephrostomy, and biliary tubes.

Requirements

• One year of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start.
