About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager, PACU is responsible for overseeing patient care, staff management, equipment maintenance, and departmental operations in a 44-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
Responsibilities
- Hiring, training, evaluating, and developing nursing staff
- Ensuring quality patient care aligned with medical treatment plans
- Managing staffing levels, schedules, and performance evaluations
- Participating in budget development and adherence
- Monitoring departmental productivity and supporting operational goals
- Leading staff communication and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintaining a safe environment, as this is a safety-sensitive role
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 2-5 years of RN experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-10 years of RN experience
- Less than 2 years of supervisory experience
