About the Role
This role provides direct clinical patient care. You will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and delivering direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis and at the unit level. The role includes supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated. You will support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management related to patient care.
You will serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing, demonstrating effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct clinical patient care on a per-shift basis.
- Supervise staff and delegate appropriate care responsibilities.
- Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care in alignment with organizational standards.
- Support the CNO in competency evaluation of clinical staff and resource management.
- Act as a role model and advocate for professional nursing practices.
Requirements
- Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school (required).
- Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree) preferred.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law, regulation, or policy in the state of practice.
- CPR certification (required).
Candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug screen. Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If offered this position, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approved religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
Pay
$34.37 - $70.88 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
Benefits
Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus based on eligibility.
