Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

About the role

Join the new PACU team to develop and operate a 10-bay Post-Anesthesia Care Unit providing 24/7 post-operative care for diverse surgical and interventional patients. The RN recovers patients from anesthesia, IV, and conscious sedation, requiring acute and ICU level care. This role emphasizes teamwork, autonomy, communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and flexibility to establish effective interdepartmental workflows.

Responsibilities

• Recover and monitor patients post-surgery, ensuring safe and effective care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery and unit operations.
• Participate in establishing and maintaining interdepartmental relationships and workflows.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience in PACU and/or ICU preferred
• Training available for step-down and Emergency Department experienced RNs
