About the role
As a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse in Perianesthesia, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication, you will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Perianesthesia at ABMC operates in two dedicated locations within the hospital: East (first floor) and Main (second floor). Each unit functions independently and delivers comprehensive, high-quality care across all three phases: Preoperative, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Discharge. Our multidisciplinary team includes RNs, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), collaborating with ABMC physicians and Anesthesia providers to ensure safe, seamless, and patient-centered care throughout the surgical and procedural journey.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (upon completion of orientation)
- PALS certification (within 6 months of hire)
