Registered Nurse (RN) PACU
About the role
Open to experienced RNs with 2+ years of PACU RN experience. Responsibilities
Work in the Phase I Post‑Operative Care Unit (PACU) on the 1st floor, caring for a variety of post‑op patients including orthopedic & neuro surgery, OB/GYN, plastics, gender affirmation, robotics, and other cases (excluding open heart and transplant). The unit is part of a state‑of‑the‑art surgical pavilion opened in August 2020, featuring excellent teamwork, a fun environment, lower turnover, and lower call frequency, with opportunities to be cross‑trained to PreOp.
Requirements
- Unit‑based PRN role
- Minimum of 4 shifts per 6‑week period
- At least two weekend or night shifts per 6‑week period
- One holiday or hard‑to‑fill shift annually
Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required); for full‑time, 2+ years of PACU RN experience strongly preferred
- Active Maryland RN license or active Compact State RN license
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA or American Red Cross) required
- ACLS preferred; PALS preferred or to be obtained within 6 months after hire
- Experience with mechanical vents is a plus

Pay
This position has a hiring range of USD $36.50 – USD $60.34 per hour.
