About the Role
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Trained in all areas from pre-op and recovery, main area of work will be recovery.

Exposure & Physical Requirements
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present; may involve contact with patients, blood, body fluids, or specimens
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements
- Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Licensure & Certifications
- Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current multistate license
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire
