About the role
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient infusion role with a focus on oncology care.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administering infusion therapies, including chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and port care.
- Educating patients and families on disease management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development activities.
- Developing and communicating individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team and patients.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
- May be required to float to other sites as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN license.
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Preferably 2+ years of RN experience, with oncology experience being advantageous.
- Strong IV insertion, port access, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive position.
